SFG OPENS 13TH
& 14TH POPEYES IN |

Silver Spring, MD- SFG has opened its 13th and 14th Popeyes in the Tidewater Market. The 13th Popeyes opened at Jefferson Avenue, February 12 in Newport News to a new and excited customer base. Bruce Smith attended the opening and greeted customers Jefferson Avenue, OMNI 10, situated in a very densely populated community averages more than 52,000 cars a day and is situated on property owned by Saratoga Land Development Company. The new Social Security Administration building and a new comfort style suites motel are both located near the Popeyes. |
Churchland, OMNI 9, opened March 2 and is located on the pad a Churchland Shopping center, Portsmouth, Virginia. Like the Jefferson Avenue property, Churchland is situated on property owned by Saratoga Land Development Company. This marks the 14th Popeyes opened by SFG in 26 months. SFG will open 5 new Popeyes before year-end 2002. SFG has also announced that it has formed SFG IV, LLV and will complete its Tidewater Development with five new stores in 2003. This means that the SFG buildout of the market is four years ahead of schedule. |

SFG's 16th store will be located in Chesapeake at the Indian River Shopping Center. This unit is targeted to open August 2. It will be the second store in Chesapeake. Both stores are under SFG III, LLC. |

VA - SFG's 15 store will begin construction march 15, 2002 with a projected
opening in mid June.
This will mark the first Popeyes in the Suffolk market. Other previous sites were reviewed and determined to be inadequate for location and access. |

VA - SFG presented both quarterly awards and introduced
new members of the Presidents Leadership Council.
The new members are: Maurice Kearney, JANAF, Rosa Parker, St. Pauls Blvd., Joshua Frankie, Langley Square, Patrice Jones, Newmarket. The four new honorees join the first four Council members and will provide continuing support and input regarding employee level interaction for bettering the company standards. The Council was treated to a boat cruise, luncheon and entertainment aboard the "Spirit of Norfolk" in February. |

| A true Spirit of Saratoga Food Group is James Purcell, Vice President, Development. James has been with SFG since November 1999, and has been responsible for both the rapid and award winning growth and development of the Popeyes stores and the consistent manner in which the stores have been built. James is responsible for all construction, development, design, coordination and interaction with city officials on all store projects. In all, he has overseen the construction of 14 stores working with both Brown Construction and JD&W Construction companies of Virginia. He is a master of the concept and design phase of the construction. James also is a NASCAR enthusiast having participated in the sport at pit crew level and today works with SFG's sponsored Late Model Stock at Langley Speed Way. James also has totally rebuilt his 1955 Chevy that he towed back from California. He drove the classic for years when living in California and has dedicated his off hours to rebuilding the '55. Purcell, SFG. The Chevy Monte Carlo has a 375 horsepower engine with a
four speed gear box and is built to run the Langley track. Anthony Warren,
23, completed his first year last year at the speedway finishing 7th out
of 40+ drivers. His father, Phil, a seven time Langley track champion,
is touring in the Hooters Cup Series this Year. Langley is the breeding
ground for many NASCAR drivers.
